The double transfer step in making a carbon print is one of the easiest parts in the process. However, many people run into problems because the polyester they purchased is treated. Polyester can be treated so that your finger slides easier over a screen protector, or treated to receive coatings more readily, or have an anti-static treatment for packaging electronics. The amount of applications for polyester, and specific treatments probably figures in the hundreds. So, it’s difficult to find a polyester film that is not treated for some sort of application. These treatments can lead to bubbles, prints that don’t transfer completely, or a plastic that is impossible to peel apart from the paper. This polyester film is guaranteed not to be treated, and I have tested it personally to know that it works extremely well.
